O2 TRAVEL FAN IN JAPAN TRAVEL SERIES

England supporters were heading to a World Cup in Japan, but many knew little about the food, etiquette, host cities and cultural details that would shape the trip.

We created an eight-part travel show hosted by former England international Ugo Monye and Jamie Laing. Ugo brought rugby authority, Jamie brought curiosity and humour, and together they explored Tokyo, Yokohama, Sapporo, Osaka and Kobe through food, customs, local people and Bushido values. It was designed as entertainment first, but also worked as a practical guide fans could use before and during the tournament, giving O2 a useful role in the journey rather than simply sponsoring it.
